Health-tech startup Ai Health Highway has successfully raised $1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Turbostart. This investment is part of a larger $1.5 million funding round that also includes co-investments from notable backers like Rainmatter by Zerodha, The Chennai Angels, the BITS BioCyTiH Foundation, and other angel investors.
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards establishing a stronger presence in India, accelerating international regulatory approvals, and expanding its offerings in the AI/ML cardio-respiratory domain, according to a company press release.
Founded in 2018 by Satish Jeevannavar, Ai Health Highway is dedicated to providing tech-enabled screening tools designed to aid in the early detection of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and improve healthcare accessibility. The company’s flagship product, the AiSteth, is an AI-enabled stethoscope that aims to significantly reduce global premature deaths from NCDs by 30% by 2030.
AiSteth empowers healthcare professionals, including non-specialists, to interpret heart sounds effectively, thereby supporting accurate clinical decisions. Utilizing advanced AI and signal processing, it transforms traditional stethoscopes into powerful screening tools capable of detecting life-threatening cardiac disorders early in their development.
The AI-enabled stethoscope integrates seamlessly into existing medical workflows, equipping primary care providers with high-quality heart sound capture, analysis, and data-sharing capabilities. This innovation enhances the accessibility and affordability of healthcare solutions, making it a crucial tool in the fight against NCDs.
As healthcare continues to evolve with technology, Ai Health Highway’s efforts to leverage AI in cardio-respiratory care represent a significant advancement toward more proactive and preventive health measures.
